Along Route 30 is the York Barbell Company. High on a pole in front of the building is a very large man on one knee holding up a large set of barbells. I believe that the man rotates and can be seen for quite a distance. It has been there for years.[C. Carey, 05/17/2005]
The building is the home of the US Weightlifting Hall of Fame, the legacy of former Olympic athlete Bob Hoffman, "Father of World Weightlifting," who died in 1985.
