Visitor Tips and News About Skunk Ape Research Headquarters
There was not much information available on the Skunk Ape, but we got a great tour of the petting zoo. The tour guide not only let us hold a baby alligator, but let the alligator bite us as well. This is a must-see jewel--my kids (4 and 11) and I spent well over an hour getting a personal tour of the "zoo" in the back and loved every minute. Not a single word was spoken about the Skunk Ape, but we learned a ton about birds, epiphytes, snakes and tortoises![missy, 05/09/2011]

Skunk Ape Research Headquarters is in the office/gift shop of Jack Shealy's Trail Lakes campground. It's Jack's brother David who's on a mission to hunt down the elusive swamp creature, and tell its story at Skunk Ape HQ.
