Clatskanie, Oregon - The Flippin Castle

Our little town (pop: 1750 and ONE stop-light) boasts a few attractions, but none bigger than the Flippin Castle. A turn-of-the-century lumber mill owner, T.J. Flippin built his house to resemble a castle. That turreted mansion, known as the "Flippin Castle" has now become a national historic preservation site, a sight-seeing destination and the home of the Clatskanie Senior Citizens.
