The building was in use as a warehouse for Coke products until Marh 2008 when operations moved to Hagerstown. It is now vacant, but the bottle is still there on the roof!

We stopped by to take some pictures of the giant coke bottle mentioned on RoadsideAmerica.com.
[Glenn and Rebecca Brown, 09/10/2007]At one time the giant Coke Bottle lid did blow off, however, the bottle was removed for refurbishing (I think in the '70s ) and was placed back on the building about four months later. The building used to be a bottling facility, but is now just used for the distribution of Coke products. I used to live in Frederick.
[Mike Thomas, 03/04/2007]There is a giant Coke bottle on the roof of the Coca-Cola building in Frederick. I've been told that the lid used to blow off, but it is now permanently attached.

- I-81 exit 6A. Drive east on US Hwy 40, then make an immediate right onto Western Maryland Pkwy. Drive south, crossing W. Washington St., and you'll soon see the big bottle on the left.
