It's back...again! Casa Viva, which closed last winter, has reopened as Casa Bonita, and is once again owned by the same folks that run the Lakewood Colorado operation. Flag raising, cave dining, and all-you-can-eat sopapillas live on, however, the carousel and talking buffalo head are STILL missing...
[Mike Mc, 08/21/2008]It's back in all of its flag raising glory! Well, sort of... the restaurant formerly known as Casa Bonita has been renovated and reopened as Casa Viva. Sadly, the carousel and talking buffalo head are missing; however, the waterfall is flowing again, and patrons are once again dining in the newly restored cave.
[Mike Mc., 06/24/2006]Bad news; the local TV news announced today that the Casa Bonita in Tulsa, OK is closing for good on Friday September 30th---apparently, they have lost their lease. Tried to go there tonight for one last shot at raising the flag for sopaipillas, but the line was out the door....

This is the original Casa Bonita, which opened three years before the one in Colorado. It's slightly smaller, and it's never had cliff divers -- the lagoon is apparently too shallow.
