Hot throwed roll in mid-flight.

Lambert's Cafe III - Home of Throwed Rolls

A trip highlight! Food is good -- like a country-style dim sum extravaganza: busboys come by with pass arounds, which they heap onto your plate for a flat price. The roll throwers pitch hot rolls from across the restaurant.

Don't miss this gem if you're in the area (and be sure to stop by Bamahenge, the Roman Columns, and dinosaurs near(ish)-by)!

The food was delicious -- hubby ordered catfish and I had the charbroiled chicken breast. The rolls are huge (and delicious)! Definitely worth eating there if in the area -- there was constantly a line today but it seemed to move pretty steadily.

Lambert's was a great place to eat. They do throw rolls at you, but the guy was nice enough to just gently toss them a couple of feet if you look pitiful enough. When we were there, they brought around fried potatoes (and several other things) which were every bit as good as the ones Nana makes (but don't tell her). They also have HUGE cups that you can buy in the gift shop.

There's also a Lambert's Cafe in Foley Alabama on Hwy 59, with the same theme [The waiters throw warm rolls at you from across the room.] and food as the Sikeston, MO restaurant. Great food, the place is always packed.
