Just FYI: I called to book one of these super awesome rooms for our upcoming road trip and was informed that no children are allowed at all under any circumstances... but you can come tour the place on the weekend.
[JRos, 10/23/2016]The C-37? Was landed on an airstrip just long enough to land, but not long enough to take off again. It had to be done on the first try. It was landed by my uncle, Air Force Colonel Tom Thomas.

We stayed in the "Up, Up And Away" room, which had a giant hot air balloon bed suspended in the room and a whirlpool with a waterfall. It was a fun room to stay in, and I'd be curious to check out the others.
[Cat Morley, 10/18/2013]Noticed the plane and the stairway to its interior had a nice new coat of paint since the last time we visited (2005). Apparently, the painter(s) didn't mask off Farrah Fawcett's (1977) signature and painted right over it! Looks like someone tried to wipe off the new layer of paint, as you can see a very faint image of her signature (if you know where to look), but maybe didn't want to wipe too hard as to remove the signature also.

I'm holding up the Boeing C-97 in front of the Don Q Inn Hotel near Dodgeville, Wisconsin. The plane flew to its present location adjacent to the hotel. Farah Fawcett signed the fuselage after filming a TV commercial there long ago.

If you want to visit a particular room, and no one's stayed in it the previous night, you should ask at the desk if you can be let in to see it. We were impressed by the "Tranquility Base" moon room during a recent visit.
