Potterville, Michigan: Gizzard City

The sign says quite a bit, but you have to go to the (only) bar downtown and try some "world-famous" gizzards, or some deep fried Oreos. The town has a Gizzard Fest in the Spring, involving a gizzard eating contest and (at one point) a 10- ft tall headless fiberglass chicken. The head has since been recovered and remounted.

If you were looking for the world's only Gizzard City, look no further. Downtown Potterville is the place to be. I don't really recall much overly unusual about the place other than the funny name but either way you look at it, the billboard seen along southbound I-69 is a classic.
