The specter of a fisherman has been reported, and there is a story of a fisherman drowning in the nearby Des Moines River. The strangest of all however, is the local legend of the Magic 8 Ball sign. If you ask the front sign of the "museum" a question on a calm day, the hinged, hanging sign will swing right for "no" and left for "yes." My sources say "Unclear"... [Peg, 07/02/2005]
