Gassville, Arkansas - Rocky Ridge Refuge - Lurch, Big-Horn Watusi Rocky Ridge Refuge is located in north central Arkansas in Baxter County. The refuge is owned and operated by Janice Wolf, a super nice lady who just loves animals. It is home to well over 30 animals as well as Lurch, a Watusi (African breed of cattle), who is the world record holder for the size of his horns. He is listed in the Guiness Book. His horns weigh about 200 pounds now and he is very gentle and docile. He is a great subject for photos. He is about 8 years old. Janice also has miniature donkeys, exotic sheep, an antelope, a llama, Zebu cattle, a zebra, rescued horses, exotic dogs and a water buffalo.

Directions: From Mountain Home, take Hwy 178 to the intersection of Hwy 126. Go Left to County Road 1123. It is a white chat/gravel road going behind a small church.
