Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania - Birthplace of the Slinky

Hollidaysburg is Home of the original "Slinky." Don't know of anyone who hasn't had one at one time in their life. They use to give tours (don't know if they still do) and have a little souvenir shop there. The town also has what is known as Chimney Rocks, a big lookout site for the Indians at one time. [Blenda Walter, 07/16/1999]

[RA: When last we heard (2006) there was still no Slinky sign or monument in town, and the Slinky factory does not give tours, and it closed its outlet store. Guess Hollidaysburg doesn't want visitors....]
