Elizabeth (Burning Springs), West Virginia - Rathbone Well On Rt 5 between Elizabeth and Grantsville WV, there is an oil field park on the site of the Rathbone Well. This is the oldest producing oil and gas well in WV. A small museum is located there also, with a video tape you can watch that tells you more about the site. This would be very interesting to anyone involved in drilling, or the oil and gas industry. No admittance fee, but a jar for donations is located near the door. An old log house has recently been moved to the site, and I think they are planning on restoring it.
