Lititz, Pennsylvania - Queen of the Candles The Queen of the Candles is a tradition that has been continuously celebrated since the late 1930s, and the first Queen of the Candles was my mom, Pauline Ruth Moyer Keenan.
Periodically (usually on a significant anniversary) they will invite back each of the past queens. My mom was there for the 65th anniversary and was the Grand Marshall of the parade that day. [Kerry Keenan, 01/26/2011]
Lititz, Pennsylvania - Queen of the Candles Every 4th of July holiday is celebrated with a parade, craft show, performances at the band shell, and crowning of the
QUEEN OF THE CANDLES. This is immediately followed by the lighting of thousands of candles in grand formations over the stream that issues forth from under the Lititz Springs Park in the center of the town. The candles reflect in the pool and stream...really a
beautiful, magical sight to see. There is a fee to enter the park to see the crowning and candle display. This is followed shortly thereafter with outdoor fireworks.
Lititz Springs Park is located on Route 501 in downtown Lititz, PA. [Marie Quigg, 12/15/1998]
