Idaho Springs, Colorado - Steve Canyon Statue

I visited this "statue" recently, and I would say it isn't worth the time. The picture is extremely deceiving. The statue is actually about four feet tall and next to a rather unispiring building. The town it's in is actually quite nice though -- the Heritage Inn has huge rooms and there's an internet cafe and a few bars in town. Just don't be expecting a huge monument to Steve Canyon, the cartoon man you've never heard of. [Mike Francis, 08/03/2006]
