Connecticut Trolley and Fire Museum

The Trolley Museum exhibits vintage trolleys and buses. They also have Halloween rides.

Connecticut Fire Museum

The Connecticut Fire Museum is situated on the grounds behind the Connecticut Trolley Museum. It is basically a warehouse that holds 30 or so old and not quite so old fire-truck/apparati and other related fire, uh...stuff. We showed up on "Open Cab Day" so we were able to crawl behind the wheels of several of the trucks.

The museum isn't really organized, because they have so much stuff that they need to cram into so little space. Also on the grounds is the Connecicut Bus Museum, apparently half a dozen old buses in varying states of disrepair.

The Trolley Museum is a great place in and of itself. You can ride on any number of vintage trolleys, and go through the building and see several others.
