Pete, an oversized taconite pellet with a hard hat and treads for feet, is the mascot of an attraction that's gone through several name changes. 2015: Attraction, such as it is, still open -- but Pete is in storage.

We stopped by the Minnesota Discovery Center July 22, 2015, and were told that Pellet Pete has been moved to storage and there are no immediate plans to restore him to the Minnesota Discovery Center. Bummer!
