Tri-State Spook Light aka Hornet Spook Light

Known under a variety of names, it's one of America's few consistent mystery lights, glowing since at least the 1880s at the border of Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma.

E 40 Rd, Quapaw, OK
Directions:
I-44 exit 4 in Missouri. Drive south on Hwy 43 for four miles. Turn right onto Coyote Drive, then a quick left onto on Gum Rd/Hwy BB/CR-6. Drive west three miles to a T. Turn right on State Line Rd, then make a quick left at "the old Spookies building" on the right, "the only building around." This should be E 40 Rd, a gravel road known locally as "The Devil's Promenade" and "Spook Light Road." The orb travels from east to west along a four mile stretch, beginning anywhere from a 1/4 mile to 1.5 miles in.
