Outhouse Museum My son and I visited the Outhouse Museum on 06/13/09. There are only about seven outhouse's there, but they are well kept up. Traveling from I-90, it is approximately 47 miles one way. If you have the time it is worth the drive. There is also a Giant Pheasant sculpture in the middle of town.

Outhouse Museum Richard Papousek no longer manages the Outhouse Museum and has moved to nearby Colome. What few outhouses remain form the back line of a garden area for the new theater at 542 Main St, site of the Oscar Micheaux Film Festival. Jerry, the festival's creator, keeps gardening equipment in the six locked outhouses remaining and expects that time and the elements will lead to their demise. The two-story outhouse remains a stand-out and all outhouses are accessible from the side street to the theater.

Outhouse Museum of South Dakota While driving from Illinois to Montana on every type of road save an Interstate, I spent several hours in Gregory, SD. A small town with pleasant people. Out back of a small gift / antique store is the Outhouse Museum of South Dakota.
