Rapid City, South Dakota - Prospector Johnny One Feather Johnny One Feather is a real nice guy -- he will help you get gold in the panning pits. My niece and her cousins enjoy it every time we go. Rapid City, South Dakota - Prospector I really doubt that this is a true mufflerman, but he is nice. Rapid City, South Dakota, highway 16 about 3-5 miles south of Rapid City before Reptile Gardens. Very entertaining road -- lots to do -- Cosmos and Marine World. [Russell Metzner, 03/30/1999][RA: The man who posed for the statue is the man who runs the business behind it: Johnny One Feather. Johnny told us that he was a green beret who did three tours of duty in Vietnam, was shot three times, was imprisoned in the Hanoi Hilton (where he met John McCain), and went on to become a Hollywood stuntman. He posed for the statue in 1979.]
