Last Place That Made Original Formula Dr Pepper
A 1891 bottling plant that was Dr Pepper's first franchise. Small museum of memorabilia, and tours of the plant, which now operates only one day a month, bottling cane sugar sodas other than Dr Pepper. Disturbing statue out front of a man, a little girl, and a bottle.

The bottling plant may no longer make Dr Pepper, but the store is open to purchase the various sodas they do still make. Additionally, there is now a giant soda bottle just around the corner, perfect for photo opportunities.

The Dr Pepper tour takes about an hour, with free samples of all their flavors! The equipment is no longer bottling, but they still show how the machines work. They hope to start bottling again in the future. Interesting to hear the history of Dr Pepper and see the private collection of the owner. Small gift shop with food. Check out Groupon for a coupon.

Went to Dr Pepper Bottling Company during the St Patrick's Day Celebration. Our tour guide was great. Well worth the $5 admission, and included unlimited samples. Had a great time in Dublin and at the festival. Well worth a road trip.
[Charisse, 03/19/2014]Dublin Dr. Pepper
Officially, as of 1/11/2012, the legal battling between Plano, TX-based Dr Pepper Snapple Group and Dr Pepper Bottling of Dublin ended. "Dublin Dr. Pepper" is no more. The signs have come down. All vestiges of the former cane-sugar-sweetened Dublin Dr Pepper are gone. The last of the sought-after soda was sold out as of 1/11/2012.
The bottling plant will continue to operate for Dr Pepper Snapple Group as the "Dublin Bottling Works, Inc." but will not be producing the former soft drink.
