The Orange Show Foundation has acquired the Blue Sax, Also called "Smokesax" and will be moving it into a storage facility on Munger street between downtown and Hobby Airport. It will be installed on the Orange Show's East end property, although an exact site is yet to be determined.

Saxophone Made of Volkswagen Beetles I stopped by recently and the new owner of the property was there, renovating the building. He said that he is fully renovating the sculpture - removing rust, repairing broken glass, and repainting it blue - and that a new bar will be opening on the site in fall of 2009.

Saxophone Made of Volkswagen Beetles Very cool, but it's looking worn, restaurant has been closed for some time and there has been no upkeep. If you want to see it you better hurry.
