Huntsville, Texas - Sam Houston Statue - Extra Half Face

If you drive by this and have time, exit and go back to the statue visitor center. There's the usual gift shop, but you can also walk up to the base to get a true perspective of how big this thing really is. There is also the front half of an extra face of Sam at ground level so you can see the construction -- my 9 year old was fascinated... [Dave, 01/11/2002]
