Clover.

Stew Leonard's Wacky Food Store

Quite an interesting place. It was very busy. Our 3-yr old found it entertaining to watch the singing and dancing figures. They have unique and fresh produce. It reminded me a little of the Lester's Possum Park scene in A Goofy Movie.

Stew Leonard's always had a one way pre pandemic traffic flow. They've eliminated many of the shortcuts, so you will travel the thru the entire store. Many of the interactive farm animal displays are gone. The train over the cashiers wasn't running.

This is a great store, and a fun place to take the kids. They have several interactive animal displays throughout the store. The kids can press a large red button and watch the mechanical animals sing and dance.

Stew Leonard's Giant Lobster

The "largest dairy store in the world," Stew Leonards, has opened a store a bit closer to New York City, in suburban Yonkers. Here you'll find the craziness we've come to expect from the chain -- animatronic creatures singing songs about the food, model trains running above cashiers' heads, and one giant lobster (Larry) which is probably the size of a small bus.

[Dominic Ryan, 04/15/2006]

Larry the Lobster was retired in 2012. "I think the weather just took a beating on ol' Larry," said a store spokesperson. "We had to take him down."
