Philo Farnsworth, TV Inventor
I'm walking across America and have hit several roadside attractions along the way. Once in Utah, I was anxious to see the statue of the beloved Philo Farnsworth, the man responsible for allowing Jerry Springer and Bill O'Reilly to be household names.
When I read the description on your site, I saw that there was no pic and the latest news was that the U.S. Capitol building was being renovated. But by the time I trudged my feet to SLC, the building was open for business (I could tell because there were at least 5 tourists milling about).
I strutted up the 3 flights of stairs and bonded with the cement replica for a full 5 minutes before heading off to see the 2-headed lamb across the street.

We had a look ourselves in August -- the statue is moved around the building a bit, but a guard can usually direct visitors. BTW, Mark has dubbed himself "The Walking Fool."
