C.W. Parker Carousel Museum

A friend and I recently visited the C.W. Parker Carousel Museum. Parker built many carousels in his career and was a millionaire by the time he was 30 years old. Guided or self-guided tours include a carousel ride. $6.00 admission, or you can just ride the carousel for $1.50. The museum is run entirely by volunteers. Definitely a fun hour or so of your time!

C. W. Parker Carousel Museum

C.W. Parker built many carousels in his day and was quite good at promoting his business. The admission price to the museum includes a ride on his 1913 carousel. Also included is a hand-cranked carousel dating to the 1850's. It may be the oldest working carousel in the world. The museum is run by volunteers and they're very friendly.
