Big Pencil A wonderful town to explore -- the big pencil is only one of quite a few worthwhile odd attractions. I visited here based on the tip for this very cool, very huge pencil and ended up spending hours around the area. I love old, oversized 3D advertisements!

Big Pencil From Pulaski, 22 miles south on Route 11, Wytheville Office Supply suspends The Big Pencil above it's awning. Sure, it makes sense from a marketing standpoint (Well, at least more sense than the giant barber's shears inside; which were brought over, I think, when a local barber shop closed). But it's still a local landmark.
