Shirley, Indiana's biggest claim to fame is the fact that it is divided down the center of town by two counties. Shirley Road or Main Street is the county line, dividing the west part of town which is in Hancock County, Indiana and the East part of town which is in Henry County, Indiana.
The Baker - Chef sign is on top of a pole, making judging his size difficult, but he is nowhere near the size of a muffler man or that type of attraction.
An acquaintance of mine, a life long resident of Shirley, told me this used to be an ice cream shop years ago, he told me it was currently being remodeled and there was a two man roofing crew putting on a new roof when I was there and they were very curious about me taking these pictures.
The box in his right hand says: "Judy's Carry Out." He's in desperate need of a new coat of paint.

Large Baker Man
Giant, short fat man with chef hat and one hand up as to hold something, one down as holding a carry-out box. He has a big turned up nose. He needs some attention, maybe just fresh paint. He is standing outside a vacant, run down building.
