Edisto Island, South Carolina - Mystery Tree This tree is about 100 feet from the road out in a bog. The bog was dry, which I'm told is unusual, so I was able to walk out and get some closeup pix.
The tree is decorated according to the season. I visited in the summer so the tree was adorned with an ice cooler, blowup beach toys, a child's bike, a straw hat, etc. I'm told the decorated tree has been there many years. The mystery is, who decorates the tree? Nobody seems to know. [Charlie Brown, 10/04/2006]
