Rapid City, South Dakota: Lawnmower Pile-Up

Is it art, or just a pile of old lawnmowers made to look like art? And why are they forced to dismantle it and rebuild, over and over? A mystery....

Lawnmower Pileup

Lawnmower Pileup is gone. The pileup at the front of the business on Mt Rushmore Road has been cleared of equipment. There is an orderly arrangement of lawnmowers and yard equipment for sale on the Clark Street side of the building (and no pileup around the other sides of the business). There is, however, a private residence behind the business, on Clark Street, with a giant U.S. flag mural painted on the roof.

They are outside Willy's lawnmower and chainsaw sales and service at the corner of Mt. Rushmore Rd. and Clark St.
