Carrier Bridge in a Farm Field

I had heard that the Texas Air Museum was no longer in Harlingen, Texas, but on a 2006 Rand McNally map it was still listed. My wife and I visited the site and indeed it is gone. However they have left behind what appears to be the conning towers off of two or three aircraft carriers plus a couple of large pieces of airplanes and one heckuva large fire ant hill! Hopefully someone will rescue these pieces of history before they disappear into oblivion.

This is the bridge from the helicopter carrier Iwo Jima, which picked up the crew of Apollo 13.

The Texas Air Museum features a transplanted full-size ship's bridge, with water nowhere in sight.
