Eureka Springs - Water Caution

There are many beautiful, natural springs in Eureka Springs. As you arrive in the town you are bombarded with information on how the Indians used the springs for healing.

We hurried out and found a running spring. We were shocked by how warm the water was in the middle of winter. Later that night, we found out we weren't supposed to drink the water. Because of modern day technology like speptic tanks at the top of the hills, the springs have now become contaminated! [beth mosier, 02/22/2007]
