J. Taylor Auto Collection

I talked with "one of the" Mr. Taylors (his words). He came out of the single-wide trailer across the street from the Taylor Auto Parts building, which is a couple of doors down from the Auto Collection address. His uncle, J. Taylor, has passed away. The place is locked and most of the cars are gone, but he said to peek inside. There are a couple of cars and a bunch of other car stuff. I had wanted to see the collection, but this was a fun way to stretch my legs nonetheless.

Incredible collection of old cars from the early 1900s on. I first checked this out on 12/26/06 and it is great. Stopped back by on 2/17/07 and went through it again. Jimmie Taylor is great. He took the time to tell me the history of each car in the collection. Free admission but you should call to make sure he is in before you stop by since it's only open when he's at the shop.
