Delights of Tombstone
Wyatt Earp would be turning over in his grave right now if he could see Tombstone, Arizona's OK Corral robotic gunfighter exhibit - a new low in tacky commercialism. Quite frankly it's offensive to any visitor who had any real interest in Western history.
Boot Hill is only slightly better and if it weren't for its namesake could be mistaken for a poorly constructed movie prop.
The best kept secret in Tombstone is the Courthouse Museum - first rate exhibits and very interesting. This is the 'real McCoy' in terms of history and visitors can feel the history that was made there.
The Bird Cage Theater is worth the visit. One thing that always strikes me about the Bird Cage is how much smaller and 'close-in' the building actually was. However it could be a lot more interesting if it was better presented and better preserved... but like much of the rest of Tombstone it is left to decay.
