Twin Statues Of Liberty Atop An Office Building

These two Liberties stand 333 feet above downtown Buffalo, atop step pyramids at either end of a block-long building. Each is 30 feet tall. Built in 1925, each has an interior ladder that can be climbed to its torch -- although people aren't allowed to do that any more. Oddly, the Liberties don't celebrate liberty at all, but commerce; that's why one faces west toward the harbor, and the other faces east toward the rail yards.
