Big Scissors Before my trip to Crescent City, I went to one of my favorite web sites before a road trip: RoadsideAmerica. A friend of mine who visits Crescent City on business had never seen the scissors, which made me even more curious, so I really wanted to see them. I found Kim's Hair Studio quite by accident, and it seemed to be thriving! The scissors are not mechanized, but it is still in business and is a delightful little place, as is Crescent City! Giant Scissors Giant Scissors on top of Kim's hair salon -- still there. The scissors building sits behind the Bistro Gardens restaurant next to the Beacon Burger. You can walk along the harbor and see seals and a large sea lion population. [Tiki, 03/12/2009]
Big Scissors - The Clip-O-Matic Effect These large scissors adorn a hair salon in the harbor area. They [are motorized to automatically] open and close. They sit next to an old (but wonderful) burger stand that used to display a large burger on a lighthouse.
There are several roadside attractions in the area, including an Eiffel Tower, Paul Bunyan and Babe. [Tiki, 05/15/2007]
