World Record Pancake Griddle. World's Largest Pancake Griddle

It's not at 163 Main, it's just down the road at the actual Birkett Mills. You won't be able to miss it though! [Matthew, 01/24/2010]

[RA: September 21, 1987 -- when the 22+ ft. wide pancake from this griddle shook the world.]

World's Largest Pancake Griddle

Great photo op - not much to support this great sight. Griddle is easy to find but tough to get lined up for group shot, given that it's displayed in a loading dock area... Attached to historic mill that's not functioning or even accessible other than to view. Was great fun to add to list. [Rich V, 01/05/2009]

[RA: It's 27 feet in diameter. In 1987 the town used the griddle to cook the world's largest pancake, but it appears to have been retired since then.]

World's Largest Pancake Griddle

On the side of The Birkett Mills building resides the griddle used to cook the world's largest pancake. It is displayed prominently, with a sign covering the surface of the griddle. Quite an impressive size, too! Who ate this thing? [Susie Hume, 05/26/2007]
