Washington, DC - Soap Man It's the Soap Man, Fabled Lost Companion of the Mutter Museum's Soap Lady. I haven't seen him since a trip to DC in 1992. We slipped across him by accident while wandering rings around the vastness of the Museum of American History. I recognized him immediately because I had read Roadside America! My wife had visited the museum in 1983 and remembered taking this picture. [Kirby Bartlett-Sloan, 05/30/1998][RA: February 2008: Tipster Kathy Arnold informs that the Soap Man is no longer on public display, although he can be seen in storage vault by researchers or students under special circumstances.]
