Buffalo, New York - Muffler Man - Paul Bunyan - Vague Recollections

There was a Paul Bunyan with an ax resting (ax head down at his feet) at Fun & Games Amusement Park in Tonawanda, NY for many years (mid-60's to mid-70's at least). Around 1973, '74 or '75 the Bunyan was "kidnapped" as part of a senior prank (I believe) at Kenmore East Senior High School and tied to the flag pole in front. He was returned after a couple of days. When he lived at Fun & Games he was across the street from a "Whale Wash" car wash which was a drive through car wash (in the butt and out the mouth) that I went to with my dad many times.
