Great Dane Statue

Great Dane has shut down their plant due to the downturn in the economy. It will reopen if sales increase to a profitable level. There is a skeleton crew of primarily maintenance personel and plant security still on duty. The Administrative Office Building where the Dog stands is still in operation. Great Dane encourages people to take pictures with/of their mascot, but don't climb on it for obvious safety reasons. They have signs posted and you can be arrested if you do.

This is just a few minutes from the interstate, so it's worth a quick drive by to check it out. My kids are easy to please, so they loved it, even though it's just in a parking lot. We jumped out and took some pictures! [Matt Longino, 03/23/2010]

This is the Great Dane Statue that is in Savannah, GA. Located at the Great Dane Trailer Building at E. Lathrop and Bay Street, it is impressive. Building did appear deserted, though. [Jerseydevil43, 09/11/2009]
