Lincoln Highway Museum If you're interested in old Lincoln Highway mementos and memories, you should visit Belle Plaine where a Lincoln Highway Museum (called the Preston Museum) is located. In this small town is a great collection of artifacts from the early days of motor travel. In addition to the many signs attached to the building, there was what appeared to be a steam-powered tractor in sad condition as well as another antique tractor. While closed when we were there, the old signs, tractors, filling station equipment, etc. are still worth the stop. [John Holmes, 08/14/2007]
