Scrap Metal Sculptures
The Red Baron still flies in Kellogg. The bucking bronco in the previous tip is no longer there.
[Katie Bundtrock, 07/12/2019]Drove there today. No sculptures to be seen; moved locations or removed?
[Josh, 09/14/2015]Kellogg has metal sculptures of a dragon and knight, a gold panner, an elk (in front of the local chapter of the ELKS), a big panther (which is the high school's mascot) in front of the local pool, a miner and donkey, and the best was the Red Baron. All seemed to be made of scraps of metal from different things, but they are large! Looking at the photos I took after I found your website, the elk stands next to pickup truck and shell and is as tall as the truck.
[Sheila Ryan, 06/23/1998]The sculptures were made in 1986 by a schoolteacher named David Dose from nearby Pine Creek.
