Red Baron.

Scrap Metal Sculptures

The Red Baron still flies in Kellogg. The bucking bronco in the previous tip is no longer there.

Drove there today. No sculptures to be seen; moved locations or removed?

Hoping someone can snap pics verifying the Red Baron sculpture (still visible in 2012) and others are no longer in Kellogg.

Scrap Metal Sculptures

Kellogg has metal sculptures of a dragon and knight, a gold panner, an elk (in front of the local chapter of the ELKS), a big panther (which is the high school's mascot) in front of the local pool, a miner and donkey, and the best was the Red Baron. All seemed to be made of scraps of metal from different things, but they are large! Looking at the photos I took after I found your website, the elk stands next to pickup truck and shell and is as tall as the truck.

[Sheila Ryan, 06/23/1998]

The sculptures were made in 1986 by a schoolteacher named David Dose from nearby Pine Creek.
