Municipal Giant Slide - Sliding Board
I used to go to this slide with my elementary school. Just this week I decided to set off with my friends to find it again. We had to stop in Thurmont and ask the locals (who were very helpful), but we finally made our way. It's exactly the same as I remember it from ten years ago. We had lots of fun sliding! But it would've been helpful to have something to slide on. I remember when I used to go, there were pieces of old carpet and burlap bags left at the bottom for anyone to use/ Unfortunately those are gone now, so I would recommend bringing your own. There is also a giant merry-go-round, some pavilions, and a swing set. It's right next to the fire hall of Rocky Ridge.

Imagine a bumpy bowling alley tilted on end. You are the human bowling pin! No fear! A pile of sawdust awaits you at the bottom. Grab one of the scraps of fabric at the base (burlap sack is the fastest), climb the ramp and slide away!
Locally known as a "Sliding Board"(35 ft High x 100 ft Long). Close to Thurmont, MD, home of Camp David. I wonder if any President has used this?
