Shoe Tree

The shoe tree has been cut down and properly buried. I'm sure that there will be a replacement in time.

America will run out of trees before it runs out of shoes to hurl at them.

Hwy 395 Shoe Tree

The shoe tree was cut down on October 10, 2017.

[Denise Clark, 11/03/2017]

The highway dept. cut down the tree, it said, because most of the tree was dead, and officials were fearful that it might collapse and hurt someone. The shoes were saved, briefly, in case anyone wanted to return and pick them up.

Shoe Tree

There's a great shoe tree located on highway 395 just north of the Quincy turnoff in CA and about 35 miles north of Reno, NV. Shoes come and go but the tree remained there after the road was widened last year!
