Sheep Capital of the U.S

About 25 miles north of Sturgis on state route 79 is the town of Newell (pop. 675), the self-proclaimed "Sheep Capital of the U.S." There's really nothing to see there other than the sign welcoming you into town (we basically didn't even slow down while driving through). [Tim Evans, 02/25/1997]
