Corn-Painted Silo I saw the original posting on RoadsideAmerica.com and decided to find this myself. Being me, I drove past it. Making a U-turn on the highway at a break in the median, I found the access road further south on Rte. 15 and could get up close to it.
They were advertising a July 4th Fireworks Party. Some friends saw my photos and insinuated the silo resembles a male body part. Jerks.
I'm not really sure of the town - Catoctin or Thurmont; it's on the road between Frederick and Thurmont. [Lucy, 07/20/2009]
Corn-Painted Silo We were driving up to the Catoctin Mountain Park in Thurmont, MD from Frederick on RT. 15, as we noticed a towering silo appearing as an ear of corn! It is situated within a farm about half a mile away from the road on the left side for those heading up to Thurmont, MD. We didn't see a road from RT 15 that would permit us to get a closer look though. [Nat Balsley, 01/21/2008]
