Starr Kempf Sculptures I just discovered this website. 45 minutes later we were amazing by these amazing sculptures. Even my 18 year old son jumped out the car to take pictures on his smartphone. Yeah, a teenager liked it too. It's to bad they are tucked away in a neighborhood and not out for the community to appreciate this talented artist. [Tournament/TravelerMom, 06/20/2011]
Kempf's Metal Sculptures Eccentric sculptor Starr Kempf filled his yard with huge metal sculptures, some of which move in the wind. Neighbors sued to have a couple dismantled as dangerous, but there are still a good ten or so. Visited when I first moved here six months ago, when I took someone to see it in December, one had blown over. [Mark Menich, 01/22/2008][RA: July 2009: Bob Pearce received this response from the Kempf estate: "There are still 5 standing and three on the ground at the moment." Bob sez "None of the sculptures have 'blown over,' but rather they were taken down by court order."]
