Sparks, Nevada - Guns and Jewels of Elvis Sierra Sid's Casino/Truck Stop in Sparks, NV has a display of guns and jewels owned by Elvis.
Display items include "14K GOLD PEN VERNON USED 'TILL HIS DEATH", "TIGER EYE ELVIS RING AFTER HIS DEATH VERNON HAD THE RING SIZED SMALLER", and an ID bracelet that says slot machine with the description "ELVIS HAD PET NAMES FOR HIS CLOSEST FRIENDS HIS PET NAME FOR DADDY WAS SLOT MACHINE." One of the guns is rumored to be one that Elvis used to shoot a TV but there is no mention of this in the display, so who knows if it's true?
Other displays include a commemorative gun collection and John Wayne's spurs.
The display cases are located inside the casino and in front of the Trucker's Grille diner. [Roxanne Ratterman, 02/24/2008]
