[RA: Gatlinburg is that much richer by absorbing this TeeVee Land attraction from Sperryville, Virginia. The museum features the "General Lee," Cooter's tow truck, Daisy's jeep, Rosco's police car, clothing and memorabilia from the Dukes of Hazzard TV show. According to the attraction, Cooter and other cast members visit frequently.]

There is a store called "Cooters" that sells nothing but memorabilia from the TV show "The Dukes of Hazzard." We stopped by there on July 25. You can't miss it. the "General Lee" (the famed car from the TV series) is parked out front. The store sells everything you ever wanted in Hazzard memorabilia -- hats, T-shirts, action figures, lunch boxes -- and then some. [Mardi Hair, 08/12/2000]

Cooter Davenport, whose real name is Ben Jones, runs the Dukes of Hazzard Museum with his wife. Cooter was the show's ace mechanic. Actress Catherine Bach -- "Daisy Duke" -- appeared in person at the museum in July. Hours are 10am-6pm all week. [RA, 07/23/2000]
