Danville, Vermont - Hammer Weather Vane

I'm updating Dan's posting (4-27-08) with regard to the Hammer Weather Vane. He thought it may be 4ft long. Actually its fourteen feet long! I should know, as I was the one that made it. [Joe Hallowell, 09/22/2009]

Hammer Weather Vane Danville, Vermont - Hammer Weather Vane

It looks like a typical Vermont barn with a weather vane on top. However, the weather vane, in this case is a giant hammer. It looks to be at least 4 feet long. It sits on the cupola of a barn housing Laferriere Construction. [Dan, 04/27/2008]

Hammer Weather Vane:
Address: 525 Wightman Rd., Danville, VT
Directions: The barn is on Wightman Road, just East of the intersection of US Route 2 and VT Route 15. It is clearly visible from Route 2.
Hours: Daylight hours.
