Artesian Springs - Bring Your Own Cup

The spring is inside the Petosky State Park, and if you're from out of state, there is a $9 daily vehicle charge. I did not go in.

Artesian Springs - Bring Your Own Cup

Drinkable water springs from the ground in this area along the Lake Michigan Shore. Home owners in the late 1800's and early 1900's pushed pipes into the ground in their mostly lakefront yards in the city of Harbor Springs and built rock wells around them. Water flows up through them to this day.

Bring your own cups!

Pure water is so rare to find these days -- even when it's in a plastic bottle or coming out of the tap. So nice of the state of Michigan to share.
