- Park at Petoskey State Park and walk north along the beach until you see either bubbling water in pools along the shore or your feet feel a distinct difference in temperature - cold! Watch small children, the springs are deep. You will encounter a private association small clubhouse before you get there, stay close to the shoreline as Lake Michigan is public property.

The spring is inside the Petosky State Park, and if you're from out of state, there is a $9 daily vehicle charge. I did not go in.
[Angela Haggerty, 06/19/2019]Drinkable water springs from the ground in this area along the Lake Michigan Shore. Home owners in the late 1800's and early 1900's pushed pipes into the ground in their mostly lakefront yards in the city of Harbor Springs and built rock wells around them. Water flows up through them to this day.
